It's always such an exhausting endeavor w.
Yikes!
The bleach powder I used to use was discontinued so I had to buy the newer version, and I was worried it would fry my hair or something ww
But actually I was really impressed with the new formula, it didn't hurt at all!!
This is the powder I used ~
I let it process for 40 minutes and then I washed it out with warm water and Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate shampoo, but I didn't condition it because of the next step...
I have been wanting to try this 'Glaze' hair treatment for everrrr and I'm finally trying it today.
Basically, it's a semi-permanent dye infused conditioning treatment, with a glossing effect. So, it's supposed to make your hair feel soft and moisturized, and look shiny, and add a richness of color for about 10 washes.
I thought it seemed like a nice damage free alternative to toner, which I never use.
I applied it to damp hair and left it for 10 minutes.
I did feel that it was kind of hard to apply evenly and avoid patchiness, which is usually the case for dye depositing masks for me.
(I want to note, I used the color "Beach Blonde", which is a nice yellow blonde color, but the website recommends NOT to use a darker shade than the lightest part of your hair because it might stain, so if you try it, I recommend sticking to the best match to your actual color.)
Here was my results:
Of course, due to my hair texture and my layered haircut, my hair will never be shiny no matter what I apply to it.
But I like the result! It's something different than my usual white blonde and it does feel beachy and summery, so I'm happy.
It is also quite soft.
