Yesterday my plan was to go to West Seattle with my MiL.

Well we made it all the way there (30 min drive) and then I had to go right back home because I forgot there was a one day heat wave and I hadn't set up the AC yet for the dog...

We are going to go back tomorrow. 

And then I'll go back AGAIN on Saturday for PRYSMIQUE meet w.

Today I had to rehang my mirror in a different spot because the AC had to get plugged in, so the shelf had to get pulled out a bit from the wall, so my mirror no longer fit where it was.

I decided to put it on the closet door.

also yesterday I did a quick gel mani matching to my toes because the state of my nails after the gelex fell off was... bad

There was a lot of base gel chunks left that would be difficult to remove, so I decided to just fill in the rest of the gaps with more base gel to make an even surface and wait for it to fall off. I think I saved it.

having short nails is really hard and confusing for me lol

I struggled with the most basic things like putting a straw in my coffee this morning.

As for the nails, 

they lasted only long enough for me to sleep in them.

And then they popped off immediately first thing this morning.

This is why I gave up on GelEx LOL

I shouldn't have wasted nice eyeshadow to make a color for them. 

It's a shame because the color really was so lovely.

Well. I'll just make it again for acrylics.

I made new nails today.

I need to buy new monomer, but I can’t afford it right now, so I decided to give gelex another chance. Although I’m terrified of it. I certainly cured it for like thrice the recommended time and I still don’t trust it w.

I don’t know if anyone noticed, but I don’t like opaque color much on my hands, I always prefer a jelly, glitter, or something clear. Since I did my toes in a very pale lavender recently, I wanted to do something purple for my nails, but I didn’t really have any good colors, so I decided to make one.

I used some Pat McGrath shadow, so it’s a very expensive color!

It turned out so super pretty, it shifts color like crazy, from purple to pink to blue. Really cool.

Today is a work holiday for J so we are mostly having a lazy day.

I had to get dressed right after waking up with no time for make or hair so that means I'll make weird decisions....

I did take the oppurtunity of having J with the car to go get a new curling iron ($6 from the thrift store!). This one looked completely brand new, I'm not sure if it was ever used even once.

I'm so very bad at curling my hair but I feel like it's almost necessary for my style taste to curl my hair, so I want to start seriously working on getting over my skill issue, so one day I can have those beautiful bouncy voluminous curls I feel like every one of my style idols had...

I tried it out and this was today's curls.

I also really need new exte... with the side part I'm severely reminded how one side of my hair is so much thinner than the other.

Since I need to get my hair done soon and I'm thinking about trying a new color, I'm not sure what to do about exte, so I'm dragging my feet.

I'm thinking about going darker and warmer more like these.

Or maybe the bright Tsu chan yellow?

I've been in a bad and quiet mood lately. I'm not at all in the mood to socialize and I just kind of want to disappear. Physically I'm also feeling gross and tired. Exhausted, even. Therefore I'm also not really going out at all.

I decided to take advantage of this mood to finally switch back to my flip phone. It really shoes how addictive the smartphone can be that I used it just for my trip and it took me almost a whole month to stop using it again. I've tried to start to clean up my mess a little bit. Cleaned out my iCloud Photos, deactivating accounts, deleting apps. There's too much for someone who grew up online. 

I was feeling jealous because yesterday J went to get a new phone and he also got a new iPad on promotion, my iPad is old now and I was envious thinking his was nicer and shinier and newer. 

But after all, mine still works just fine, it's the same size as his, and there's no reason for me to get a new one. So instead of moping or spending money I don't have, I decided to just take care of mine to make it feel nicer. 

I cleaned it, took off the old scratched up paper feel screen protector, and got a new case. (for only $8.99!)

I also reset it so that it's completely empty, starting fresh. Just like new.

Now it's also matching to the rest of my desk.

And after all, everything is a tactical choice as well. No wallpaper, monochromatic app icons, NO SNS or messaging apps, focus mode always on, and a case with a cover. This is all towards making it as non-distracting and non-consuming as possible. It's a dedicated entertainment device only. 

I'm now going to be a little bit nasty...

While I'm preaching about "I don't NEED a new device I can be happy with what I have", I'm gonna be a little bit of a hypocrite. Because, my phone model comes in pink. I really wanted to get the handset in pink, because it would obviously match with my lifestyle and personality much better. 

The problem is, the price for specifically and only the pink color way of this phone has been artificially inflated by foreigners buying them up to resell them on EBay...

I couldn't afford the western prices, and I couldn't find one for sale from Japan, so I ended up buying it in black. I thought, I'll just be happy with this and I'll try to decorate it to make it cuter, but after using it for a year it really does bother me. I really want to find it in pink still. But it's still just as expensive, because they are all bought up. And I swear to god that the people buying the pink ones specifically NEVER seem to be actually using them. Every picture I've seen of someone showing it off on reddit has had a "no SIM" symbol and I swear they just take pics to flex and then shut it off and put it in a drawer. I get that it's because it's an 'aesthetic' thing, but as a person who wants to ACTUALLY use the phone as my daily driver phone, not for clout points, it's disappointing. 

Well, I'm just bitching but I'll keep waiting for one to pop up in Japan for a good price... that's all I can do.

 Today was arts and crafts day with Bunny.

I took out my last pair of Playgirl for my makeup today. (T_T)

I felt that it didn’t come out cute in photos but I felt cute in person so oh well. 

We picked up supplies and then went to the uni for working space. 

We left our mark lol

Kaidou got all messed up because none of the colors were light enough for his hair LOL

My total interest again recently is clothing DIY, so I really felt like doing something today. I made this shirt.

I want to add beads to the tie strings in the future.

I also made a deco case, but I really hate how it came out.

After all I had no plan and just added stuff as I went, so it was bound to come out badly. 

I tried a new hair product yesterday. I found it while picking new heat protectant and I was intrigued. 

Since my hair is naturally wavy and dry, and it’s damaged from bleaching and styling, it never stays neat and tends to shrink up and frizz no matter what I do to it. 

I followed the instructions except that it specifies to use it with the shampoo/conditioner but I just used it by itself.

Shocking results!

I think I will try the shampoo and conditioner as well since I’m quite impressed with how it performed even by itself.
